The holidays are so much fun! This morning we played under the tree and practiced opening presents in preparation for Christmas :) It is so dark here today I think we will keep the Christmas lights on all day.
A few weeks ago we took Reed to the Bellevue Botanical Garden. She seemed to enjoy herself as did the rest of our family!
I took these photos at my new favorite photography spot near our home. It gets such great light in the afternoons. These photos are of Reed at one year. The first year has gone by so fast. It is a joy to watch her growing up and exploring her world!
My dad is a very talented man! The past few times my parents have come to visit we have taken on housing projects that I have been at first skeptical that we could complete and then totally thrilled with the finished project! Of course, none of this would be possible without my fathers construction skills. This past visit, after searching for a pre-made baby gate to fit the top of our (1964) stairs we were left with no choice but to construct our own. As pictured below, we bought a board, had it cut to size, stained it to match our stairs, attached the appropriate hardware and then attached it to the top of our stairwell.....voilĂ ! a homemade baby gate! A great safety addition for Reed and her little friends! Thanks Dad!
We are so thankful for our precious daughter who just turned one! Since Reed is not old enough to decide on a birthday theme I picked pink this year. It was too fun! I think I will save all the pink decorations for Russ' birthday next year ;)
We had a large and wonderful Thanksgiving this year!
There are so many things in life to be thankful for!
This year, like others in the past, I was excited not only to host friends and family for Thanksgiving dinner, but also to decorate the table! Here are a few pictures of our table this year and Reed on her first Thanksgiving
It was so fun to photograph the K family! Their daughter is almost 2 and just delightful! Thanks for giving me the opportunity to capture your family at this time in your life!
A year and a half ago I became more serious about photography as a hobby. I have never thought of myself as creative so it is a refreshing challenge to develop a hobby that requires some technical skill and a lot of creativity. I have developed this blog so that I have a place to display my creativity. So let the fun begin........Thanks for following
