Sunshine on New Year's Day

Today was a beautiful day to start the new year!  This morning we took a walk to our local beach park to celebrate the sunshine on this New Year's Day.  We were also able to try out our new stomp rocket.  Russ and I thought it was pretty cool.  Reed seemed to just be enjoying the outdoors.  Here are a few pictures of our outing.

2013....

2012 was a great year!  While I hope to continue to have and appreciate a healthy and happy family, here are a few personal goals that I hope to achieve in this new year.
1.  Improve photography skills
2.  Complete a 52 Project; that is post a weekly picture for all the weeks of the year, a goal I failed to complete in 2012
3.  Read more! Books, newspapers, magazines, children's books, the internet, anything.......but I need to read more.
4.  Be more present
5.  Run 13 in 2013!! I hope to participate in the Seattle Rock n Roll Half Marathon this year........wish me luck :)
