Project 52

This year one of my continued goals is to work on my photography skills.  A few weeks ago I started thinking about doing a 365 day challenge.  A challenge to post one picture a day for the entire year.  A task that I decided required a bit too much commitment for this time in my life.   My photography buddy Elena then decided to do a 52 project and invited others to join her in posting a photo for each week of the year.  Now this is a challenge I can take on!  You can find others who have decided to participate on her web site http://www.elenasblairphotography.com.

Reed and I are heading to NM in the next few hours, so with her napping, my husband at work and the dog at day care I was left to photograph something in my home.  Below you will find a picture of one of the two lamps that hang in our room.  These were made by the previous owner of our home, who moved out of here at 90 years of age.  They have tiny bits of glass glued all over and I just adore them!  They are just one of historic treasures in our home.

So here is week one! I will continue to post one photo each week that may or may not be accompanied by an explanation.
